October 8th and 9th, 2011 - Boulder, Colorado was home to the first IFSC Lead World Cup on U.S. soil in over 20 years. Powered by The North Face, the competition gave climbers from 13 countries the opportunity to showcase their talents to a sold out crowd at Movement Climbing + Fitness.

    no competitors topped either finals route?  Setting?

      In a perfect that would be nice, but it’s pretty hard to set a route that only 1 person can top out. I would think it’s better to err on the side of nobody topping out and having good separation lower on a route.

        Ya of course. I totally understand that and no discredit to the setters. I should have explained in more detail. I was just surprised that nobody in the men’s got even close. From the video, it looked different than other setting at the world cup because the wall appeared shorter. I.e. they favored longer and harder moves more so than other routes in the WC have. But then again, I wasn’t there so these are just my observations from watching the video.

          That I would agree with. It would have been cool to see someone get up on the headwall.
