Dave Graham’s superb summer season at Mt. Evans’ Lincoln Lake continued yesterday when he did the FA of To Your Scattered Bodies Go. This problem adds a sit start to a V12 put up by Jon Glassberg called Take It To The Grave yielding yet another potential V14 (V13, see below) for the area they call Wolverineland. In just the past 2 months Graham has done 11 V13 or harder boulders there!
Commenting on his 8a scorecard Graham had this to say about To Your Scattered Bodies Go:
I love this problem, and feel lucky to have sent it third day in, rather then 10th! A very finicky boulder problem filled with subtle toe-hooks, crazy semi-dynamic movements, and very tense static moves. Eleven moves total, and an engaged top-out, and by far one of the most aesthetic lines in Mt. Evans Wilderness.
You can read more about the ascent at B3Bouldering with some additional pictures here.
Update 9/12/2010 – Daniel Woods grabbed the 2nd ascent of To Your Scattered Bodies Go yesterday and felt it was in the V13 range according to his scorecard. Graham also updated the grade on his scorecard to V13 saying, “feels harder then any 8b i have ever done, but i must be a punt…”
Here’s a video that features footage of Woods’ ascent:
