Maybe it’s just me, but all I want to see are straightforward shots of the problem that show more than one or two moves in a row. I just don’t like all the artsy angles and cuts between every move. Editing should serve to highlight the subject, not be done for it’s own sake.

I agree in principle, but I thought the editing for the first minute and a half did an awesome job highlighting the subject: Dave. It would be cool to see the send in a single cut, but I get the sense that this is just a teaser to get you psyched for the movie, which I imagine will be a lot smoother.

I’m alright with artistic cuts and angles, but atleast keep consistent attire while climbing… He starts wearing black pants/blue shirt, then cut to him in black pants no shirt, then cut to him in beige pants no shirt, then cut back to him in black pants no shirt… very disrupting….

Hmm, the different cuts, clothing and shoes didn’t bother me that much on this one. As a problem, it wasn’t that interesting to watch… it’s only 4 moves long. It took him 25 seconds to climb it.

The real story is the athlete… one of the best all around climbers in the world. Likely the only 14+ trad climber to do v15?
