   Good initiative! Sad though that it’s needed.. why are people making such a mess in a place they like being in? It just doesn’t make sence.

     I’ve never been to Font but my understanding is that a lot of the garbage is from non-climbers. Not to say that climbers don’t need to clean after themselves better as well.

   Climbers may inadvertently leave trash, it’s not necessarily intentional or malicious…but it would be a bit naive to think there aren’t any litterbug-climbers, wouldn’t it? Pick up a couple pieces of trash every day you go to the crag; leave the place nicer than it was when you got there. Everyone wins. Kumbaya! 😉

   Having climbed at font it seam like the vast majority of the trash there is from non-climbers. The proximity to a major metro area means that there’s lots of user groups who visit the area. Most of the trash is plastic bottles, cans, broken glass, plastic bags, etc.

   Bas Curvies is on the side of the road and all kind of low lives stop there. The place is know for hookers who hang out there in the evenings – it’s littered with used condoms and condom wrappers. My friend told me a story of someone sending a some V10 there late one evening and asking a couple of hookers who were hanging out there for a spot. Seemed to have helped him, but otherwise the place is pretty disgusting. It’s nice that it got a clean up!
