Jeremy Zachariash On Going From 0 To 5.14 In Just A Few Years

DPM catches up with Jeremy Zachariash who progressed from not climbing to sending 5.14 in just four years:

My weaknesses are ice cream, sugar cookies with buttercream frosting, cinnabons, and chocolate mousse.  My strengths are climbing in any conditions and whenever I can.

Holy crap!  I’m now inspired to be the guy in his 30s doing that.  Now if only I didn’t have to work…

He climbs in shorts when everyone else is climbing in down jackets. When everyone is drinking beer, he’s eating creme brûlée.

12 months (aka 1 year; aka 25%) of those first four years were spent on climbing road trips.  he’s also a student (aka has a very flexible schedule, not too mention lots of breaks…summer, anyone?).

i mean, i climbed 5.15c after just 6 months climbing.  no biggie, though.

That certainly helps, but it’s one thing to have all those things going for you and another to actually progress like he has.

It’s pretty funny to read about a 21 year old dude obsessing about diet and sweets so much.
