Reminds me of the head scratching I did after watching them try and torch Cobra Crack dry enough to climb in “First Ascent”…
It’s not uncommon in Sweden to use a blowtorch to dry holds (the weather this year has been the worst for many years) and, as far as I know, not something that’s frowned upon here.
fact is that if the vid is viewed elsewhere in the world it can be viewed as acceptable.
Blowtorching to dry holds is standard here in NZ too. Perhaps there are types of rock it’s not good on but we’ve never seen any problems. It’s totally necessary some places where seepage is common.

What grade system are they using here? Looks like font. (sandbag)?
