   I’ve climbed with this kid a few times in the gym over the years. The things that he can hold onto are absolutely unreal and his tenacity belies his years. On top of that, he’s an incredibly nice young boy. Very inspiring stuff.

   Awesome. Forget future badass, CURRENT badass. A spectacled American answer to Adam Ondra, with patriotic beanie to boot.

   However, I don’t see how the filmmaker’s rant in the beginning or end about the evils of 8a.nu applies at all to understanding or appreciating Drew. Drew’s “not spraying” isn’t what makes him awesome, its how young he is and how hard he climbs. I feel likea lot of magazines and movies highlight how humble and down to earth most of these amazing climbers are. Who are these chest-pounding spraying bogey-men they keep referring to?
