The first bouldering World Cup of 2014 is in the books with Germans Jan Hojer and Juliane Wurm winning this weekend’s competition in Chongqing, China. This marks the 2nd World Cup bouldering win for both as both Hojer and Wurm won the Innsbruck comp in 2013.
Wurm narrowly bested Shauna Coxsey and Akiyo Noguchi, gaining her three tops in one fewer try than Coxsey. Hojer was the only male competitor to top all four finals problems to secure his victory.
The 2014 World Cup circuit continues next weekend with a stop in Baku, Azerbaijan.
