Video Friday – 10/11/2013

Before we get to the videos just a quick reminder that I will be in Portland this weekend at the Portland Boulder Rally.  If you are going to be there be sure to say hi because if it isn’t obvious from reading this site:  I love to talk about climbing.  If you aren’t in Portland you can catch all the action live courtesy of LT11 and a bevy of great sponsors.  We’ll get underway with a 2 hour pre-show full of athlete interviews and other behinds the scenes action at 5 PM PDT followed by Open Finals live at 7 PM PDT.

The field is pretty stacked, so it will be interesting to see who makes it through to finals.  Don’t miss it!

Excellent job MCing at the Portland comp Narc! I don’t know about anyone else, but I certainly didn’t miss blaring music and the standard in-house MC shouting inane comments at everyone. This was a class production.

Thanks! Like I said during the broadcast, we try really hard to put on the type of show we would want to watch. Always things for us to improve on, but it helps to know people are enjoying the work we do.

Narc, like seemingly everyone I really enjoyed the comp and your work on it. While the technical side of things could be improved (audio quality etc.), I would watch a lot more comps if they were called like this. Also it was great to have a setter in the booth.

I appreciate that very much. Nobody wants to have a technically perfect broadcast more than we do, but as you can imagine it is easier said than done. That said, we are always working our hardest to make the best broadcast we can.

No doubt, and the effort is appreciated. But really how hard did you try to not say that Alex’s power level is on…another level? 😉

Yeah, I appreciated the setter’s commentary as well . . .Narc’s call on Alex Puccio’s send of W’s 2 was classic . . . Puccio: One arm chalk up, Narc: “Ooh wow!”
