As an unseasonably cold and snowy winter drones on outside, the indoor comp season is just getting warmed up. This weekend is the all-important ABS Nationals in Boulder, CO and last weekend some of the country’s strongest climbers descended on snowy Everett, MA to compete in the Dark Horse Series Championship.
For the Men who else but Daniel Woods beat out the likes of Vasya Vorotnikov, Brian Kim, Carlo Traversi and Rob D’Anastasio to take down the ,500 first prize.

“As an unseasonably cold and snowy winter drones on outside…”
How would the weather being cold and snowy in February, in the middle of winter, be unseasonable?
I could see writing “As an unseasonably warm and dry winter drones on outside…”
But isn’t it usually cold and snowy in the NE in Feb?

I don’t know about you but I spent most of last week digging out from a record snowfall…

I think his point was that the word “unusually” would make sense, as we’ve had record snow, whereas “unseasonably” does not – cold and snow are seasonable characteristics of winter.

Now that I would agree with. “Unseasonably” was an unusually odd choice of words on my part.
