Well, that went fast. Mrs. Narc and I are back from a week-long trip to the Red River Gorge in Kentucky. Somehow this was the longest stretch of sport climbing I’ve done in one trip in at least 8 years so it was good to get into the swing of things again. I hardly remembered that sport climbing can actually be fun. Who knew? Although my finger injury is still bothersome I felt pretty good on a few harder routes which gives me hope that I might actually clean up a few projects this spring.
A week spent at the Red means I was nowhere near a computer (iPhone/iPad doesn’t count obviously) so I’m rather behind on everything. Just glancing through my emails and the unread list in my feedreader indicates a lot of cool things were happening in my absence. I’ll do my best to wade through it all in the next couple of days.
In the meantime, here is some video of Paul Robinson’s trip to Minnesota this past weekend. Paul was in town to do some work with Nicros and he quickly repeated The Raven (V12) among other problems:
That’s pretty massive praise from Paul on the Raven. Good for Nic!

Also, where is this “Best V5 in Minnesota?” Is it somewhere near Sandstone?

I also would like to know about this V5. Looks sick.

The area is easy to find. The summer is not when you want to be there. the Poison Ivy is terrible and you have a 90% chance of getting lime’s(sp?).
You can find it on my blog.

I managed to find the thing via a detailed Google Earth search. Now to get up there some time.
