Win A Free Climbing DVD
Photo: Tim Kemple
It’s been far too long since we have given anything away so here is your chance to win your choice of 1 of the 4 DVDs described below. All you need to do in order to enter is leave a comment below this post. At the end of the contest I will draw the winner at random.
If you should happen to win, you will have your choice from 1 of these 4 movies (click the link for a review):
I picked up The Life when I was in Cincinnati recently and haven’t had a chance to write up a review. I will try to do so before this contest ends. It is definitely an interesting movie featuring historic FAs, amateur camera work and lots of shenanigans.
The contest will run at least a week, perhaps a bit longer depending on how things go. If you don’t win, perhaps you could consider paying for the DVD you would have wanted??
3 out of these 4 movies were kindly donated by either BSProductions or Dr. Topo so big thanks to them!
If you feel you need a topic to comment on, tell us about your favorite route/boulder problem…good luck! Make sure you use a valid email address so that I know how to contact you if you win!

…he said that based on what he has read on my blogsite about ethan pringle’s recovery I should be climbing 5.14 again in no time…

Narc, I’ve always enjoyed your site. It’s awesome the amount of effort, hard work, and great content you manage to put into the site so that people like me can spend an entire eight hour work day doing nothing more than looking at climbing related images, posts, and news updates. I truly appreciate it.

I’m going to head to the Red for the first time late this summer (specifically Muir Valley). We climb up to 5.11 (primarily sport) but we don’t want to let special 5.6 or 5.7’s go unclimbed. Any recommendations?

Shannon – I am of the opinion that there are not many great sport routes in the 5.6 to 5.7 range at the red, most of the good ‘easy’ routes are trad lines. There might be some newer 5.6/5.7s in Muir that I don’t know about though, I haven’t been to the Red in almost a year.
In Muir valley, Johnny’s Wall and Tectonic wall are right next to each other and they have a good sampling of 5.10s. Outside of Muir Valley, Eastern Skybridge Ridge has some of the better 5.11s in the Red and they are a bit more interesting than your standard RRG jug haul as well.

Tall Cool One at Tectonic wall is really a super cool route, it has a little bit of everything. PLus its only 5.9 so its pretty accesible to everyone. Its not in the book, but its in the online guide.
