This teaser of Louder Than 11's new feature length film, 'ABYSS - North America's Highest Bouldering', gives viewers a sneak peek into the community of rock climbing development. Look forward to more fleeting teasers in this four-part series, revealing a sociological experiment set in a previously undeveloped area high in the alpine of Colorado. Seriously, if this is not the best bouldering movie the world has ever seen, this ridiculous hype machine is just laughable. Trailer after trailer, a month ahead of the release. It’s all a bit much.

This attempt to make bouldering seem committing is laughable. Climbers out there attempt 3000 foot walls and have to handle weather up there. These guys are just hipsters, sitting around on multi-colored matts, trying to seem extreme. Go back to a coffee shop you wankers.

Get over it. Being in the mountains in a thunderstorm can be intense no matter what you are doing. It’s not a contest. If you weren’t so concerned with proving how much cooler you are than everyone else, you might realize that.

You are right, its not a contest. Being on a wall during a storm is intense. Being in a talus field with a foam matt and tight jeans during a storm is just plain silly.

If you think bouldering is silly, I’m certainly not going to argue with you. You seem more concerned with fashion than climbing though.

Hahaha thats funny. You obviously havent been on a wall in a storm before. Or ever been on a wall. I dont think Wallclimber was trying to look cool, he was just stating the obvious.

And I live in Estes Park. I spend my time in the places these people are climbing every day. Bouldering up there is the least committing form of climbing you can do in the park.

Not sure why you replied to me, since my post was not about what it’s like to be on a wall or what the the most committing form of climbing is.

I commented for the same reason you commented on wallclimber’s post.
