Waggoner Takes The Reins at USA Climbing

Climbing Business Journal:

USA Climbing, the National Governing Body for Competition Climbing, is proud to announce that Kynan Waggoner has been named the Chief Executive Officer of the organization.

Well deserved.

Kynan has been a big supporter of the LT11 broadcasts of USA Climbing national events that I’ve been a part of, and I look forward to harassing him more at future events.

He’s also pretty creative when it comes to thinking of things to do with a shovel while out at the boulders, so there is that as well.

NE2C, USA Climbing Joining Forces

Last week NE2C Productions, the group behind the Unified Bouldering Championships, and USA Climbing, the National Governing Body of Competition Climbing in the U.S. announced they were forming a partnership which would make the UBC the “official pro tour for climbing”. Got Chalk?

Got Chalk?

So I went to an SCS comp this weekend at a gym I had never seen before. I don’t really have anything bad to say about the comp itself although the fact that the results of these “qualifying” comps don’t matter at all is a bit peculiar. What your hands didn’t look like at the […]
