Niagara Glen Bouldering Access In Jeopardy

Bouldering access at the Canadian area Niagara Glen is in jeopardy.  Located just across the border from Buffalo, NY, “The Glen” is a popular destination for U.S. & Canadian climbers alike.  Visit the local access coalition website for details on how you can help.  Even if you have never been there, consider contacting the land managers to show your support for continued access to the quality bouldering found at The Glen!  (Via JH)

Matt Segal Does 4th Ascent of Cobra Crack

Matt Segal has made the 4th ascent of one of the hardest traditionally protected crack climbs in the world, Cobra Crack (5.14) in Squamish, BC.  It was first climbed by Sonnie Trotter a few years back with  Nicolas Favresse and Ethan Pringle making quick repeats earlier this summer.  Click here to see video of Trotter working the line.  So who’s next on Beth Rodden’s Meltdown??

MVM Going Free This Week

Last week it was confirmed officially on the MVM site that the paid premium section would be going away by the first week of September (as I had reported back in July).  I for one can’t wait to see what they come up with for their newest rollout.  There are many things I would like to see, however my secret wish is for more old school footage from back in the 90’s.  I guess the non-HD nature of the old footage would apparently disqualify it though?  What are you hoping to see now that you don’t have to sweat actually paying for anything??
