Exciting times are ahead for boulderers in the Midwest as separate guidebooks to the bouldering in both Minnesota and Devil’s Lake in Wisconsin are forthcoming.
Coming out first will be the guidebook to the bouldering in Minnesota which will be released next month. Information on how to order should be on this site in the coming days.
I’m personally still bitter from when I found out that people in Minnesota had better bouldering closer to them than I did where I used to live in Wisconsin, but if you’re a bigger person than me and are psyched to do some climbing in Minnesota then this guidebook is sure to be a must have.
Here are a few samples from the guide:
You got the last laugh against MN by moving to Boulder…Oh, wait, there’s currently no climbing to be had near Boulder right now either.

We have Movement, the Spot, CATS and the BRC. We also have Clear Creek and a huge scene that will make it look like it’s the place where you wanna be!

I hope the crop (of the same image) on the Blogger site is the image they went with…the image above doesn’t highlight the climber or climbing nearly as much.

I agree, not a very compelling photo. The eye is drawn to boats. Boats and… uh.. climbing… yeah? Also, it looks like the guy is shallow water soloing over a river.

Thanks for the post narc. Looking forward to both these guidebooks.
