Nalle Hukkataival Reports On Australian Trip

Nalle Hukkataival, Dave Graham and Ian Dory are back from their adventure in Australia and reports are starting to trickle in out about what they were up to.

Dory provides an update on his Cruxn blog and Hukkataival checks in with the Black Diamond Journal to detail some of the 13 V10 or harder FAs he did as well as the excitement of exploring new terrain at an area called Buandik:

Buandik is in the southern Grampians about a 50min drive from Mt Stapylton. We arrived at the parking and started hiking towards the mountain top with massive boulders on it. Hiking on the only trail there was, the 20-years-old guidebook we had, instructed us to take a trail to the left. Eventually we came to the conclusion that the trail we were supposed to take was long gone and finally, after some serious bush whacking, we found an overgrown path that once used to be a trail and made it to the area.

Once we got to the mountain top it was scattered with huge boulders and walls with incredible rock quality! We all went nuts, running around in different directions until it was pitch dark and we realized we still had to find our way back down to the car.

But just based on what we saw that day, we knew we had found something special.

Wow, that trip sounds epic.  The rock in the pictures in Nalle’s blog look gorgeous.  Add another world class destination to the lifetime list . . .
