It’s a morning of mixed emotions here at ClimbingNarc.com headquarters. I got excited for a second about the fact that the fall climbing season is nearly here. Fall is by far my favorite time of the year as there is no better time to be out climbing here in Wisconsin. The crisp temps and beautiful colors make for an incredible experience. It doesn’t get any better.
But like I said my excitement lasted for a second and no, it’s not because I checked my stock portfolio after yesterday’s meltdown on Wall Street. My mood changed a bit when I tried making a fist and the pain reminded me that I injured both my middle fingers on the only day I’ve climbed since June. Then I recalled that I haven’t had an injury free summer-going -into-fall season since…I don’t know…2006?
Gutter.
The key to any good injury recovery program…
Now, as pessimistic as that last paragraph might have sounded I’m actually feeling mostly optimistic.

Despite not having an injury free season in some time I know based on experience that regardless of how things feel now I’ll almost certainly have a productive fall season.

Sure, it would be nice to feel 100% and be firing on all cylinders come October, but the reality is that I haven’t been 100% in years and things have worked out ok. Besides, what else am I going to do this fall? Sit home and watch our net worth evaporate?
And now on to a slate of videos I will definitely be using for motivation come fall…

I don’t know about your injury recovery program… sounds like a lot of people left the State Fair last night WITH injuries.

No kidding, right? I’m glad we left when we did.

You know I’ve never met you Narc, but I have followed the blog for probably a few years now.
I have read enough to know that I certainly don’t envy your luck with injuries. I really hope you get past all these injuries, because you’ve had kind of a shit go of things.

Ahh it’s not so bad but thanks for the thoughts and thanks for reading for all these years!
