It’s time for a semi-regular feature I like to call “Make Narc Jealous” since I know many of you will be climbing outside this weekend while I have no such plans.

Feel free to spray me/us down with all the details of your plans in the comments.
It’s not all bad news for me though as psych is reaching a fevered pitch for our upcoming trip to Colorado.

It would be ideal if some of that snow would melt in the alpine areas, but since I really haven’t done much climbing in CO other than in RMNP getting out anywhere is going to be a real treat.
In preparation for our trip I know I’ll be watching at least a few of these videos, and hopefully they will help get you psyched as well. Have a great weekend everyone!
I was psyched for an Adirondacks trip this weekend, but the weather is a bit sketchy and my ride made the executive decision to bail. Bummer…I would have taken a chance with the weather. ‘Gunks are the backup plan, which ain’t too shabby. I’ll be placing the widgets this weekend.

Bummer although having the Gunks as a backup plan can never be a bad thing.
Is it a zoo there on a weekend like this or is the prime season already
past??

This weekend will be a bit warm (upper 70’s and low 80’s on Monday), so it’s not really prime season. But soon we’ll be having those 90 degree/90% humidity Northeast summer days, and I can’t complaint about current conditions.
Certain areas on the main cliff at the Gunks are always a zoo; “the Uberfall” area is comparable to Roadside…on the weekend, climbers are on nearly every route in the area from morning ’til night…and that’s troubling in light of recent events. Going to a different crag, walking a little further, or climbing harder grades helps with the crowds.

Yeah, this weekend is going to be mob.
Your best bet is to get up early and hit Peterskill.
Or, if that doesn’t work, Lost City is NEVER busy. Though if you don’t know anyone familiar with the area, you’ll be doing some exciting onsighting!

Mt. Evans. ‘Nuff said.

Call me psycho, but I just got back from the Hueco Tanks, and have a massive list of projects to train for in the fall. I also sent my hardest boulder to date, onsight! (I don’t project boulders often, so weird things like that happen to me sometimes)

Nice!

Just got back from a soaking wet New River Gorge. Crowded & manky, but it was good to be out of doors for an entire holiday weekend.
