Here are two videos that feature the highball Flight of the Bumble Bee (V7/9/E8?) at the Buttermilks (Same boulder as The Swarm).

This was first put up by (of course) Kevin Jorgeson. The first video is more a slideshow of Kevin on the FA than an actual video. The second video is much better and features Kevin Daniels sending, but not before he splits his face open during his attempts on the problem (gnarly, you’ll see).

Thanks to the Bishop Bouldering blog for the KD video link
that would be scary to fall from, but it looks real fun

I remember looking at that a few weeks ago and wondering if anyone had climbed that line yet…the last slab section looked glassy and sketchy. Maybe when I’m climbing v10 I’ll go back and try it, but it definitely won’t be a working project for moi right now! 🙂 Great vid.

is this the line that was recently upgraded to a niner?
not that it’s a huge deal, but two extra v-grades on a problem of that height is good to be aware of before setting off…

Not sure. Kevin Daniels commented that he thinks it is V7. Check out the link below to see what he said. That would be good to know before getting to the crux 25 feet up though.

Tammy, from what Kevin D said about it on the link above is that it is probably near HIS limit! Pretty ballsy. Like you I can’t say that I feel like working my limit 25 ft up.
Lots of other interesting comments from Wills Young on the difficulty if you check out that link as well. Possibly V9/E8??
