I would appreciate a full raw uncut version of the whole comp rather than these highlights that don’t do anything except promote the thing as this cool hipster party comp. somebody posted this video with some raw footage that i actually enjoyed much more than the highlights.

As the production company that produces these videos, we are hired by the gym to create highlights and shoot for highlights to promote the competition. In most cases, we do not have the production capacity at these events to have four static cameras dedicated to shoot each problem completely. We also were not hired to produce a live webcast of the event so that was not offered to the viewing audience either.
In the future, as comps grow and budget for media increases, we hope to live stream all events and provide that stream as well as highlights so the viewer can get the experience they want and not feel limited by just having a highlight reel that covers the comp.

How strictly does Dark Horse dictate the length of the films? I would happily watch a highlight reel even if it was 2-3 times longer. What I’d really like to see is one full uncut send for each problem. Other than that the clips have been really nice.

I totally agree with this sentiment. There are a lot of awesome moves that didn’t make it into the highlight reel that I would have preferred to see over the same dyno performed by 8 different people.

Good to see the Dark Horses making it, all the way up onto the podium even.
