    Many years ago, Steve Downes told me that Ramsey was a mutant…
    Further research supported this…

    Which raises the question, “How do mutants age? if at all…?”

    I think it’s possible to stay very strong as you age. What gets older climbers and pretty much all other aging athletes isn’t muscle loss so much as joint injuries and pain. Basically, the injury management becomes too much and people quit climbing/playing hockey/whatever.
