New Climbing Gym Slated For Chicago?

Interesting news out of Chicago that Walltopia and a group called First Ascent Climbing are teaming up to bring a “state-of-the-art” climbing facility to Chicago’s South Loop.  To those of you living outside the Midwest this may not seem like big news, but if you only knew the current level of climbing gym present in the greater-Chicago area you’d know this is a pretty big deal.  Read on for the full marketing spiel:

    I was actually just thinking about this the other day . . . 1400 commercial climbing gyms in the US and not one in Chicago? When is someone gonna capitalize on that? Well . . . here we are. About time.

    I am so excited! I have climbed or been a member of most of the climbing gyms in Chicago, and I am so ready for a brand spankin new one!
