The Jackal

Tyler Willcut is one of the strong new generation of climbers in the Southeast US. He recently bagged The Jackal, an amazing unclimbed Jerry Roberts project at Laurel Falls in Tennessee, at 5.14.

Tyler is founder of The Action Fund, a southern-based nonprofit with the goal of replacing and updating old fixed anchors throughout the US.

There are many projects like the Jackal out there waiting for a first ascent, but many of them need updated hardware. That should be incentive enough to support the Action Fund, by donating to the Southeastern Climbers Coalition seclimbers.org
