I think this would make more sense in the context of the 3 movies that preceded them because, if I’m not mistaken, this was all supposed to be 1 film at first but was broken up for purposes of releasing on Vimeo.
Instrumental soundtrack was downright awesome. Dave dropping the f-bomb 19 times in a 5 minute span not so much. I’m not particularly offended by the word so much as the lack of variety. That said, the music made up for it much more so than the last few videos. I wonder which of his videos has the most swears/minute.
When I see this side of Dave Graham in videos, I’m always a little surprised people want to climb with him. He finds great lines and has real passion for bouldering, but it seems that he has to go through a stage of “fingers hurt, conditions suck, so greasy, F***, conditions suck…” before he can channel the passion for the send. It is kind of annoying.
This reminds me of the same kind of behavior that teenage skateboarders have in their videos. Getting so pissed and then throwing their skateboard around- maybe graham does that too, just starts hucking crash pads and chalk bags everywhere- have youer self a proper tantrum!
Loving the troll posts… the difference between Dave and you haters is that after he is done complaining he actually achieves his set goals, that is unless you goal is to be annoying cyber dicks.
Dave Graham is an incredible climber, but it’s a real bummer to watch anyone get so pissed over a climb of any kind. As a climbing coach, it’s also a real downer to watch kids mimic this kind of response to frustration. The video was definitely not an inspiration for me, nor was it a testament to what I believe the sport embodies.
Incredible piece!

??? I don’t get it

Sick! A video of Dave doing nothing!

i feel like the entirety of the post send footage was classy filler for what should have been video of the send.

Don’t you think he would have included video of the send if he had it?

The video would have been better if he had failed to send. Then the last part would have been mood and angst instead of awkward confusion.

Yeah obviously he’d include it if he had it. But he didn’t get it on video cause the send was probably too awesome to be captured on film.

Yet I still watch his videos.

Hence, it is his process. It doesn’t have to be anything more or less.
