So, why does this route have perma-draws? It isn't extremely popular, overhanging, or hard to clean. In fact, if this actually was a proper crack climb (it was hard to tell from the video) it's weird that there are bolts at all. There was a good article over at Evening Sends called Perma Problem that asks some good questions about permanent gear. I know it's a bit off topic, but it's something I noticed in this video.

evening sends also mentioned the difference in project draws vs. Perma Draws. This is that difference.

What leads you to believe it is perma-drawed? Unless you saw something I didn't, namely, them leaving without taking their gear back, I am confused.
Looks like an incredible route to me, as epic as I can imagine a sport route to ever be!
