     Normally I would agree that Ondra gets annoying with his screaming and temper tantrums, but… this wasn’t bad at all. Some people just vent their frustrations loudly, and usually that’s fine by me. Ondra does go over the top sometimes, but I think it may be the high-pitched/whiny scream that he uses (and when it goes on and on and on, I hate it too). If he had a lower voice, and swore instead of sounding like a banshee, I think less people would mention it.

   Man, what’s with all the hate. Judging from comments on climbing websites it seems most climbers are dicks, which is not at all the experience I make if I meet climbers in real live…. You know Ondra is going to scream before you click his videos, so either turn off your sound or ignore the video. He isn’t gonna change because of your comments and it’s annoying to read the same shit everytime a (for me) great video of him is posted. 

   ps: sorry for the dickish rant… =)

   I have never understood the cynicism towards screaming.  Most of us are stuck inside classrooms, cubicles, offices, etc during the week.  We have to behave ourselves all week and act mundane.  

   What is wrong with being in the middle of the woods and letting out the primal animal just a little bit on the weekends?  

   Its good to see a 19 year old kid with some passion.

   Like i said: awesome climbing

   I actually grunt and yell all the time going up my boulders but the difference is sounding like a high pitched ____.  Adam is a really inspiring climber and I’m not saying i dont like him,m just that his high pitched “banshee” scream is pretty obnoxious…  You can totally see Robinson make a “WTF is ur deal” face several times..

     So, if he had a deeper voice or yell it would be fine? I doubt that he has much control over the pitch of his voice, or puts any active level of thought into how he’s going to spontaneously vent his frustrations. I don’t yell when I climb but it doesn’t particularly bother me when others do. My suggestion? Get over it, or stop watching videos that Ondra is featured in. He seems like a pretty genuine kid who just does what he loves and who isn’t really trying to corporately whore himself out, so maybe he doesn’t care about marketing himself at this stage in his life. Those are just my two cents though, and I can see why his yelling would irritate others. It’s just that you already know what you’re getting when you click play on a video with him in it.

       Get over it. Paul is under no obligation to climb anything other than what HE wants to. He talked to Dave about the different exits beforehand, and last I checked, he gave it 8C.

    Big Paw looks absolutely desperate in this video. Maybe it’s just the angle it’s being filmed at but I’ve seen videos of 8B+ and even 8C routes that looked way easier. Hard to believe Paul Robinson graded this one 8B+.
