Well, it was nice of Adam Ondra to let Chris Sharma have the spotlight for a few days, wasn’t it?
Just a week after he repeated/did the FA of Chilam Balam (5.15b) Ondra was still in the south of Spain at Villanueva del Rosario where he linked up 2 pitches to form another potential 5.15b called La planta de shiva. Here’s a little video showing him working on the route:

Planta de shiva is Ondra’s 4th 5.15b of the year with the others being the aforementioned Chilam Bilam in addition to Chaxi Raxi in Oliana and La Capella in Siurana.
Adam Ondra has succeeded in making 5.15b into boring news.

I think I just had an aneurysm.

After watching the video… That route looks EXTREMELY technical, and I find it really impressive how precise, efficient, and instantaneous his footwork is on route. The economy of motion is really incredible, almost zero wasted effort.

Okay, who’s going to do the statistical comparison between Ondra powering into groundbreaking territory as an 18-year-old and Sharma when he first hit the world scene as a teenager? Sounds like a perfect data mining job for … the Narc!

4 15b’s or not, he still acts like a little whiny girl when he falls. He’s young I guess…

I would like Ondra more if he didn’t scream and cry like a little girl every time he fell
