New Campground Coming To The New River Gorge
The American Alpine Club has announced plans to open a climber's campground at the New River Gorge on 40 acres of land they've purchased in Fayetteville, WV. The campground, which is expected to take 2 years to build, will hold 50-60 campsites and "will be developed specifically with climbers in mind and will allow for extended stays at inexpensive rates.

Climbers have a campground at the New already!! nothing beats the rocky top retreat.
This sounds awesome! Onsite bouldering, etc, sounds great. I wonder where it is exactly? Anyone know?
the campground will be built on the parcel of land (imagine if you can) just north of the bridge on the west side of the road. the land is between Burnwood, (site of the rendevous), and the Junkyard parking area. It would be possible to quickly walk to Bridge Buttress/Junkyard and the Burnwood boulders/interp will be on site.
