    Reminds me of the head scratching I did after watching them try and torch Cobra Crack dry enough to climb in “First Ascent”…

    It’s not uncommon in Sweden to use a blowtorch to dry holds (the weather this year has been the worst for many years) and, as far as I know, not something that’s frowned upon here.

    Blowtorching to dry holds is standard here in NZ too. Perhaps there are types of rock it’s not good on but we’ve never seen any problems. It’s totally necessary some places where seepage is common.
