New V14 In Chaos Canyon By Daniel Woods

Daniel Woods’ “boner arms” seem to have recovered quite well after his 2nd place finish at the Psicobloc Masters Series as he established a new V14 in the far reaches of Chaos Canyon in RMNP last week:

Yesterday Daniel Woods did the FA of The Wheel of Chaos V14 in Upper Upper Chaos. This is a very long and upward rising boulder problem that comes out of a huge cave way up high.

Nalle Hukktaiaval made the first repeat of the problem yesterday.

This was a term Woods used during the Psicocomp to describe how pumped he was

I wonder if Hukkataival is sticking around long enough for good temps and has interest in Hypnotized Minds. I still curious to hear his (post send?) opinion of it.

Seems like a serious contender for hardest problem in the world? I know Dave G, Carlo Traversi, and Paul Robinson have all put effort into it with no success.

It sure seems that way. There is a lot of talk about how hard it is to get good conditions on that boulder since there is a relatively small window during the year where it’s cold enough but not snowy. That said, it is a boulder 5 ft. from the road an hour from Boulder so it surely means something that nobody has repeated it.

I’d say Livin’ Large and Gioia are two other contenders.
