Me and a few other good climbing buddies have been working on a climbing and tech based startup since last august which really has this idea at the core: getting people to climb more on a regular basis makes for better climbers..

We're getting ready to launch a climbing trainer app called Climbing Monster for the iphone.

It will have a log builder and history for keeping track of your progress and a unique algorithm for automatically building training sessions on the fly. Core stuff, gym training, etc.

It's going to be exactly what climbers need to get to the next level! :)

This sort of program only works if you have an iPhone/iPod Touch. 99% sure about that.

Just wanted to let everyone know that version 2.5 is out, which includes bouldering grades, along side routes for those full-value days.

Also, ver 3 is almost ready which will include, French, Portuguese, and Spanish

Thanks everyone. Spraycaster started as an application for me, but soon spread to a few of my friends, then was rebuilt twice to incorporate extra features. Bouldering grades are coming, and with all iphone applications (that I know of), updates are free.

The website is up and running, (95%), and feature requests are being collected. Of course, not all requests will be able to be implemented, but I hope to have an app that everyone can use.

And Narc said, a portion of the proceeds are going to the RRGCC.org, for bolts, and the purchase of the PMRP. More info on the website.

Thanks again.

narc get to the bottom of this: if mystique really is as sticky as HF, but HF wears out super quicker, why does HF even exist anymore? if i were you, i would demand answers. i'd take this to 5.10 bitches on facebook, including and not limited to the nicface, but i cannot open pandora's box today.

also, they seem to claim on their little chart that onyxx is also as sticky as HF and mystique, and wears longer than c4. if so, why does c4 still exist?

intriguing.

finally: if they have not yet picked up a certain flannery and booted less worthy males from their team, why?

their women's bouldering crew is hands down the best assemblage on the planet [though sportiva's got them on sport ladies], so why would they not add a flannery and nail that coffin closed for good?

Well, on the more important thing you talked about...

Twitter, can be done as SMS texts or online, which would mean, I can still hang on your every word.

twitter is not necessary.... it's based on phones, right? if so, then i stand firm: anyone who is not on their computer, reading my posts in real time, is dead to me.

speaking of controversy and telling people what's on your mind regardless of whether they care: after watching documentaries from non-bush supporters, i am less against the war in iraq, thought the spending and messy occupation is very regrettable. in fact, i'd potentially support more such overthrows of other bastards practicing genocide and generally using military forces against unarmed citizens on massive scales. this raises questions of israel as well, though like other foreign policy, i do not know enough to make a sound judgment.... but maybe that's the point....

the media shows images. the american public sees innocent civilians getting slaughtered... they demand action, justice...

the media reports on lost soldiers, distraught families, and the insane cost of war... the american public demands withdrawal...

i'm not really sure anymore. many civilians have been injured or killed as a result of the american presence in iraq, but holy shit it has got to be fundamentally better than the total annhilation of the kurds with mustard gas and assination squads, then subsequent bulldozing of entire cities.

wow.

what's worse is that there are men as evil as saddam, who have been at the genocide game for far longer.

is it ok if a dictator only kills within national borders? what is the ultimate test for when the world should intervene?

in any event, seems like the media should have let the WMDs debat go and focus on the murdering taking place.
