Hard to say. Both are good but HP40 might be better for bouldering. HCR also has sport climbing for a nice diversion. There is camping available at HCR for a small fee, the cabins are just much nicer (and more expensive of course).

In deciding between a trip to HCR or HP40, what is more fun? HCR just looks plain beautiful in all the videos I've seen, but I don't know much about the climbing out there. Is there some lower level difficulty stuff there? And, whats the camping situation? Everyone seems to be sleeping in such nice cabins, not that that'd bother me.
