This weekend was the final installment of the 2008 Triple Crown Bouldering Series. After comps at Hound Ears in North Carolina and Horse Pens 40 in Alabama, it all came down to the comp at The Stone Fort (AKA Little Rock City) outside of Chattanooga, TN.
After a very close battle, Kate McGinnis is the series champ despite a strong 1st place finish at the SF comp by Alex Johnson.

On the Men’s side, Jimmy Webb was crowned series champ after his 2nd event win of the series. As was pointed out in the comments, Jon Glassberg won the first event at Hound Ears. Sorry about that one Jon.

psyched to see alex johnson rally to gain ground and nab second. those funky southern slopers seem to give strong crimping lockoff folks fits… at least puccio gets to take home bronze and some radass bishop sends in the back pocket.
I’d just like to point out that not only was I correct in guessing the overall series results, I was correct in guessing the stone fort competition results.
Jimmy won Hp40 and LRC. Not all three. I mean I’m just saying…
