Video Of Beth & Tommy Caldwell Climbing In The Grand Canyon

Beth and Tommy Caldwell spent 18 days late last year rafting down the Grand Canyon’s Colorado River in search of climbable rocks along its banks.  Chris McNamara posted a really nice day-by-day trip report on SuperTopo, complete with pictures and stories about what they found along the way.  It looks like they found some climbable rock that yielded several quality boulder problems and roped climbs.

The trip was filmed by Josh Lowell and Peter Mortimer for an episode of NBC’s Jeep World Of Adventure Sports which aired earlier this summer.  Here are two clips of the episode from NBC’s website:

Look for this footage as a segment of this year’s Reel Rock Tour as well.

  1. I hope this is not the only footage featured in the RRT… it’s cool though, just would like to see more actual climbing.

  2. Not sure. I know the segment in the tour is a short one.
