A trend became painfully apparent during my last trip to the RRG: I don’t usually get very much accomplished when I climb there. For the number of days I have climbed there (roughly 50) I don’t really have much to show for it (less than 10 5.12′s in total). I’m not talking about needing to [...]

News & Notes – 4/23/2007
After a bit of a hiatus, here is some spray: Jamie Emerson sent Circadian Rhythm (V13) at Poudre Canyon. Video is already available here. In the past few weeks Daniel Woods has sent the following at Joe’s Valley, UT: Mask of God (V13 2nd ascent) Black Lung (V13) Blackout (V12) Gentleman Jack (V12 flash) Beyond [...]

8a Yearbook
I started writing this post about a month ago but got sidetracked. As a degenerate for climbing information I was obviously very excited to receive my 8a yearbooks about a month ago. However, since the first couple of days that I looked at it I haven’t even really considered reading it again. While there are [...]

One Final Video of La Rambla Original (5.15a)
One final video of someone climbing on La Rambla Original at Siurana, Spain. This one is of Edu Marin who got the 2nd ascent shortly before Chris Sharma did. From what I can tell it seems to be the most complete video thus far of anyone actually redpointing the entire route. Click the picture or [...]

Got Chalk?
So I went to an SCS comp this weekend at a gym I had never seen before. I don’t really have anything bad to say about the comp itself although the fact that the results of these “qualifying” comps don’t matter at all is a bit peculiar. What your hands didn’t look like at the [...]

Chris Sharma climbing La Rambla Original (5.15a)
Here is a recent video that was made of Chris Sharma climbing La Rambla Original (5.15a) at Siurana, Spain. This was the 3rd ascent behind Ramonet and Edu Marin. Or you can download it for yourself directly from the Petzl website.

When In Doubt Pack It Out
I don’t know about you, but I always try my best to climb close to an actual bathroom. In case you don’t, the Access Fund has a nice refresher on what to do when nature calls.
Gravelle Repeats Echale (V14)
I guess it shouldn’t be surprising that with training like this that Canadian Yves Gravelle was able to climb his first V14 in Daniel Woods’ Echale in Clear Creek Canyon according to his 8a scorecard.
El Cap Report Returns For Spring 2012
So, listen up Cubicle Pukes!! Put down your work, clear the room, put on some cool tunes, and come with me to the Valley of your dreams, in this, the first of many Reports to follow.
Yep, the El Cap Report is back.
