It’s been about 7 months since I brought my unhealthy obsession with climbing to the internet. I don’t think I ever thought that I would still be injured after all this time, but I also don’t think I ever thought that I would stick to updating this site and expanding on it the way I have.
I had reservations that people would just think I was weird or crazy, but the response has been very positive. Despite the negative perception of climbers in the Frontrange as having too much ego or not being friendly, people like Jamie Emerson, Ryan Olson and Justin Jaeger (among others) have been very helpful. Not living in the Frontrange but equally as positive is Scott Gross. Thanks guys.
On the local front I never really advertised the existence of my blogsite to people at my local gym due to most people already thinking I was over-obsessed with climbing. However, over time the word has spread and although I still get good natured ribbings from people, I have received a lot of positive comments as well.
Overall, it is cool to see all the people out there that are psyched about climbing. If nothing else, this blogsite has given me a great opportunity to correspond with many new and old friends that I hope to one day share some rock with…once my arm feels better
